Growing up I couldn’t imagine this scene. No one in their right mind would be drinking lemon-aid during the time of the year that you also snowboard. However, in sunny California, everything is possible. Right, Daryn Fisher takes a dollar from snowboarder Tom Salmaone while Brandon Singleton retrieves a cool glass of lemonade last Sunday. The 12-year-old, South Lake Tahoe natives thought the weather was appropriate for both snowboarding and lemonade.

382 DAYS - 365 PHOTOS - Photo 352, taken July 14, 2007, South Lake Tahoe, California.
Charles Barkley talks with a former colleague of mine, Steve Yingling in the wreckage of the Angora fire. This was the same fire that destroyed Steve’s home — and hundreds more in July of 2007. The fire, which was started by an illegal campfire, was a history changing fire in the small community on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
This image somehow has been used dozens of times in various newspapers around the country, often with no attribution. For example here.

382 DAYS - 365 PHOTOS - Photo 350, taken May 12, 2007, Stateline, Nevada.
Legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy stands in the spotlight at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, in Stateline, Nevada. Guy:
George “Buddy” Guy (born July 30, 1936)[1] is an American blues guitarist and singer. Critically acclaimed, he is a pioneer of the Chicago blues sound and has served as an influence to some of the most notable musicians of his generation. “A key influence on Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy put the Louisiana hurricane in 1960s electric Chicago blues as a member of Muddy Waters’ band and as a house guitarist at Chess Records. A native of the Baton Rouge area, he combined a blazing modernism with a fierce grip on his roots, playing frantic leads heavy with swampy funk on Howlin’ Wolf’s ‘Killing Floor’ and Koko Taylor’s ‘Wang Dang Doodle’ as well as on his own Chess sides and the fine series of records he made with harp man Junior Wells. One of the last active connections to the golden age of Chess, Guy still plays with his original fire.”

382 DAYS - 365 PHOTOS - Photo 332, taken December 16, 2008, Round Hill, Nevada.
This photograph ran in Tahoe Daily Tribune with the caption:
After a roll in the snow, Ruby, a 3-year-old chow-golden retriever mix rests Monday morning while watching snowflakes fall in the middle of Elk Point Road in Round Hill.
What wasn’t published was that this was my neighbors dog in Round Hill, Nevada — near Lake Tahoe’s East Shore. The dog used to own the road. Most mornings he would be out there when I went to work. However, in this circumstance on my way to the newsroom, the dog in contrast with the snow, seemed to look a little bit like a small lion. Ruby owned the road.

This was one of those great moments where you simply look over and your perspective to a subject and a background creates a funny effect.
More funny than the perspective of the photo, is the view you can’t see directly behind the man in the cowboy hat. If the camera were to pan left, you’d be seeing the exact same view form the billboard.
